Busy Day

I’m hoping to accomplish alot today so I’m doing my blogging early. I have a few pairs of pants that I’m hoping to convert to skirts. 2, put up Christmas tree 3. try to organize my kitchen 4, work on dd christmas sweater, 5. work on pastor’s Prayer Shawl. If I’m going to get this accomplished I need to get of the computer. I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Dresses only

I’ve been wearing primarly dresses lately sewing up aprons ect. ect. I love it. I feel so free in Christ Jesus. I told a friend of mine that I am no longer going to be defined by the latest fashions, nor the make up or shoes I wear. I will no longer look for the approval of my parents, children or friends. I will look to my God who loves my unconditioanally and I will do what is pleasing to Him. Thank you Jesus that the chains of bondage are broken.

God is Good

The report from the doctor was good. A non cancerous cyst and scar tissue. For a minute I started to think “now I have this hole and I will have a scar forever” Wow how selfish of me, even downright vain. Jesus was scarred, beaten, and bruised for no reason and at the end He said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” Thank you Lord for you mercy and your blessings of physical and spiritual healing

Beautiful Sunday

It is such a beautiful day out today. Too bad my nerves have gotten the best of me. I should be finding out the results of my breast biopsy tomorrow. No matter what it is, I know God has it under control. I know whenever someone is sick they pray for healing and that’s what I’ve been praying for is God’s healing. Before the results are even known to me, before I even took the test, God began healing me. Perhaps not my body, but my mind and my soul. I can say I’m at peace with whatever God choses to use me for in this life. It could be nothing at all but a fibroid, or it could be cancer but caught earlier enough that it can be cured, or it could be incurable. Whatever the case may be I am healed. The baggage I used to carry around with me, hatefulness, envy, unforgiveness is replaced with a feeling of joyfullness. I asked the Lord to use me as a vessel and He is and I am honored to do His work.

Today is the day that the Lord has made and I am glad. May the blessings of the Lord be with you now and forever,

It’s a New Day

It’s been a little stressful around here lately. I found a lump on my breast and went for a mammogram, then a second one, now on Tuesday I will go for a biopsy. It’s a little nerve racking having to wait for the test and then the results but I know it’s all it God’s hands.

I didn’t do any gardening this year but I plan on going to local farms to get fruits and vegetables for canning. Hopefully next year I will be able to do gardening but I will definately need help. I am looking forward to trying my hand at gardening.

I have been getting christmas gifts and knitted items for a craft fair done. I’ve also got to start shopping for material to make warm winter dresses and to make my children their pajamas. I’m hoping to also make housecoats this year as it gets a little chilly in my home in the winter.

Well I’ve got to sign off. I have alot of Saturday chores to finish. I need to be able to use the Lord’s day as he intended and that doesn’t include chores. Stay blessed

A Prayful Day

I am currently reading the Power of Praying Woaman by Stormie Omartian. I spent most of the day in pray and reading. My family has hit a rough spot but I know that God will never leave me nor forsake me so I will continue to pray my way through this trial.

I’ve decided to start knitting some hats and fingerless gloves for an upcoming craft fair. Perhaps a few babies sweaters also. I’m planning on making sweaters for my family along with some socks and sewing pajamas and housecoats this year. The pj’s are their favorite.

Tonight my plan is to look through material that I have to see if I can make myself a nice dress or skirt. I need more skirts and dresses to wear because I’m really trying not to wear pants anymore. I also to make more snoods for headcoverings. I love the crochet snoods.

New Way of Life

Well I haven’t posted in a long time. I’ve been knitting still but I’m not totally to be goal yet. I have a few months to get there. I’ve also changed my way of living. I’m living with less because of a choice. I wanted to start a garden this year but didn’t but next year it will be a must. I have plans on going shopping for vegetables from the local farmers and start some canning. The big project will be homemade bread. I have such issues with that and I dont know why.

My children are too old for me to homeschool. My youngest son is a senior this year so I have to leave that the same. I am going to start gathering things to prepare for winter. I’m in need of a freezer because ours broke to stock up for the winter months ahead.

I also feel led by God to wear dresses and I cover every now and then but not as I should. I’ve made some crochet snoods to match my dresses.

Well that’s what changed here. I need to go start some knitting projects now because I have three craft fairs this fall and tons of christmas gifts to make.

I will post pictures later.

God is Good and worthy to be praised.

I’ve been teaching my Godchild Anitra to knit. She’s making her baby sister a scarf for her birthday. She saw the socks I just finished and she wanted them so of course she got them.

Also I made another pair of socks for Jaymie-lyn’s friend Elaine.

Surprise Package

Usually when I see the UPS man he delivering for my neighbor who is usually at school during the day. So today when he was ringing the bell I was expecting the same. Much to my suprise who looks at me and smiles and says today it’s for you.

Rosi sent me a surpise package. No reason just because. While I was opening the package I could smell this wonderful scent and it was her homemade soap. Yeah.

She also sent me 4 autgraphed patterns by her,(you can find her patterns for sale on Ravelry) the book Knit 2 Together by Tracey Ullman & MelClark & a package of Peeps.

I will have to take better pictures when my camera gets home the webcam doesn’t do the package justice. I can’t express how happy, excited and blessed I feel. Thank you Rosi for making my day.

Done with the cowl
